Conservation Commission Draft Minutes for January 18, 2007


Attending were: Trisha McCarthy, Mary Marshall, Peter Mears, Pat Wonson, Nancy Slombo

Trisha McCarthy called the meeting to order at 7:45

Minutes Review from January 4&11, 2007
Trisha made a motion to accept minutes

Correspondence:
1.      S.E.C. &Associates, Inc. Surveyors & Engineering Consultants.
Re:   Rosewood Builders, Georges Way -subdivision proposal
Attending February 1,2007 meeting
        
2.      Letter of support sent from Recreation Commission for the Busch Farm grant.
3.      Memo sent from Newton Board of Appeals in regards to property located on 9 Highland Street, Newton NH
4.      Reviewed Legislative Bulletin

Busch Farms: Nothing to report at this time.
Trails: Nothing to report at this time.

Land Acquisition:  
Mary made a motion to offer $8,000.00 for a strip of land measuring approximately 800 feet by 10 feet along the southern edge of 43 Whittier Street, in order to preserve access to the 33 acres of conservation land off Whittier Street.  The Grant that we would have used to purchase a larger part of this parcel, is now not available to us, for reasons beyond our control.

1.Trisha made a motion to pay Pat Wonson $14.40 for Overnight Express
