General purpose for which this organization was established:  
“To bring together those people interested in history, and especially in the history of Newton, New Hampshire.  The society will provide for the preservation of such material as may help to establish or illustrate the history of the area and provide for its accessibility to all who wish to study or examine it, and arouse public interest by publishing historical information in newspapers and newsletters; by holding meetings, creating a museum, etc.”

                Summer - Annual Garden Tour
                Fall    -       Wine & Cheese Social
        
        Various other events, programs and fund raisers throughout the year.
