Gale Library Weather Closing Policy
The library will be closed in the event of weather-related events that close the Sanborn Regional School District school system in the towns of Newton and Kingston, NH.
School two-hour delays will not affect the library’s opening times.
During school vacations and on Saturdays, the decision to open or close the library will be at the discretion of the Library Director and/or the Chairperson of the Trustees.
Fines will not be charged for any day on which the library is closed.
Staff members will be paid for their shift if they had been previously scheduled.
This policy is to help ensure the safety of our patrons and staff, and allows for snow removal and the clearing of roads.
