         GALE LIBRARY MEETING MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER:  9:02a.m.
ROLL CALL:              Marilyn Landry, chair; Carol Szot, Treasurer
                                Terry Caswell, Director; Sally Woodman,
                                Secretary; Kathy Meserve, Alternate; Irene
                                Nally, Friends of the Gale Library

SECRETARY’S REPORT: Read and accepted as written.

DIRECTOR’S REPORT:   Read and accepted as written.

TREASURER’S REPORT:  Read and accepted as written.

COMMUNICATION and CORRESPONDANCE:
  • The New Hampshire Library Trustee’s Association sent us their fall newsletter.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
  • Three bids have been received to replace the aging oil tank and parts. The trustee’s voted to choose David’s Heating and Cooling Company.
  • Estimates on the windows and the painting are still coming in. The estimates on all three projects will be forwarded to the Selectmen for proposed work in 2010.
  • The work on the electrical system in the basement will begin on Monday, December14, 2009.
  • We received the 2010 schedules for the Gale Library Trustee meetings and the Gale Library holiday closing dates.
NEW BUSINESS:
  • The 2009  Gale Librarys Annual Report was reviewed and signed by the Trustee’s.
  • The warrant article for a full time director was reviewed.  Some new information concerning insurance rates for   2010 have become available.  We will get the exact figures and then turn the warrant article over to Nancy Wrigley.
  • The New Hampshire State Library has received 800 Kill-A-Watt meters. Terry feels we will be receiving our share of meters in the very near future.
  • Marilyn is on the Retention Committee and relayed pertinent information to the rest of the board.
