New Book Donation and Reuse Center at the Transfer Station
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Town of Newton Announces New Book Donation and Reuse Center
--Keeping Books Out of the Trash Just Got Easier--

Newton, NH - October 12, 2006 - the town of Newton, NH in partnership with Got Books announced a new book donation and reuse drop-off location for residents, businesses, schools, libraries, and other groups looking for ways to reuse and donate books they no longer know what to do with.

“Our new book drop-off container offers residents and organizations a whole new way to help keep books out of the waste stream,” said Andy Morse, Transfer Station Manager. “Working with Got Books has given us an alternative for our facility and town residents that is convenient, accessible, and that everybody can participate in to help reduce the town’s book waste.”

But the book donation options don’t end there. Got Books also provides a book pick-up service. Many residents, businesses, and organizations often don’t know what to do with their old books, but because of its free book donation pick-up service --available throughout many other parts of New England-- Got Books has made it easier for people to do something with their unwanted items while providing good reason for individuals and groups to donate books that otherwise might get thrown out or recycled.

Got Books holds a charity book sale where at least 80% of book donations are then sold to raise money for nonprofit groups. The sale is open every Friday and Saturday in their North Reading, MA warehouse. Fifty percent of all weekend book sale profits go directly to that weekend’s benefiting organization.
