It is our goal to provide the residents with a safe, clean, and friendly trash and recycle center. Only Newton residents can deposit household trash and brush and you MUST have a resident sticker. Stickers are available at the Town Clerks office located at Town Hall and you must show proof of residency. Proof of residency is either your original purchase and sales agreement or a current Newton vehicle registration. Summer residents may receive a temporary sticker at the Selectmen's Office.
The town has a bulk item drop off program which includes the purchase of "coupons" in order to deposit certain items at the Transfer Station. You can purchase the coupons at the Transfer Station, Selectmen's Office at the Newton Town Hall and Rowe's Corner Store. The sticker prices are $2.50, $5.00 and $10.00. The Town accepts cash or checks, but no credit cards.
East Kingston, Kingston and South Hampton residents may use the Newton Transfer Station ONLY for the drop off of bulk items on Thursdays between 12pm-6:45pm and Saturdays from 1pm-4pm. FREEZERS, REFRIGERATORS AND AIR CONDITIONERS ARE ONLY ACCEPTED DURING THE MONTHS OF APRIL THROUGH NOVEMBER.
