Laughter Circle Presentation at the Gale Library

Saundra Maisey of Granite State Giggles will present Laugh Free and Live! on Wednesday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m.   This special presentation will be held during National Library Week (April 9-15) to highlight how laughter and learning go hand in hand.

Saundra has been associated with the World Laughter Tour since August, 2005. She has led laughter clubs and workshops for family gatherings, businesses and organizations across the country and internationally. She makes laughter a daily activity in her life and is a catalyst for laughter with family and friends. Laughter comes naturally for her – she’s not a humorist or a comedian – she merely loves to laugh – and shares it with others.

5 Things Laughter Does:

  •  Makes the immune system more effective.
  •  Improves breathing & oxygen intake.
  •  Good cardio-vascular effects (lower blood pressure).
  •  Improves digestion
  •  Relieves stress, lifts spirits.
Studies have shown that children laugh on the order of 300—400 times a day, while adults manage an average of 15 times a day. What happened? How did we lose our ability to laugh? Can we find that laughter again—true mirthful laughter?
Absolutely, YES!!

A laughter club experience will help you find that inner laughter again, when you partake in exercises that encourage playfulness and balance of mind, body and spirit. A session can include gentle stretching and deep breathing, along with laughter exercises that combine laughing and physical movement. When you leave a laughter club session, you will feel more relaxed.

All are invited to attend this free presentation and have an enjoyable evening with us!
