Gale Library Events in February!

Winter Reading at the Gale Library

 

            The Winter Reading Programs have begun. Come register and win prizes for reading or being read to. Children list each book they read on a reading log. When they reach their goal, they choose prizes and new books from the treasure box. All readers are entered into the program’s raffles for weekly prizes and a Grand Prize. 

            We will celebrate the finale with a Bingo For Books Party on Mon. Feb. 26, 6:30 PM during Read Across America Week.

            Teens and Adults also have their own Winter Read Programs! Just register at the circulation desk or on the Teen Bulletin Board, read, and take a chance in our weekly prize drawings.

            Come to the Gale Library on Saturday, January 27th for National Puzzle Day. Make a puzzle at the library or swap out and bring home a puzzle from our Puzzle Swap Pile. Lots of puzzles from 24 to 1000 pieces, some for all ages. 

            Crazy 8s, our fun math club, resumes on Monday, January 29 from 6-7 PM. Learn to be a spy. Wear your dark glasses, solve coded messages, crack codes, stop and find treasure, and code your own messages. More programs on Mon.Feb. 5 and 12. Please call to register for this program as space and materials are limited.

            Snap Circuits are scheduled for Wed. Jan 31. Drop in to build after school.

            A Movie and Lego Building will be held at 2 PM on Early Release day, Wed. Feb.7 at 2 PM.

            Story Hour continues each Tuesday at 10 AM with stories, songs, and crafts about Groundhog, Valentines and Valentine Party.
