Winter Maintenance Assistant Needed: The hourly rate is $15.32 and is a Labor Grade IV, Step 8 position.  Hours will vary according to a snow removal/sanding schedule. Please email galelibraryreads@comcast.net with Winter Maintenance Assistant in the subject line for further information. Thank you for your interest in employment with the Gale Library!

The Gale Library doors are open, Mondays and Wednesdays 12-6 & Tuesdays and Saturdays 9-1: It is strongly recommended that all visitors wear face masks and social distance by 3 feet. Hand sanitizer is requested upon entering and exiting the building. Curbside service is still available. Book returns are to be placed in the porch book drop box.  Books are sanitized before going back into the collection. Computer, FAX, and copier use is available with limited access for up to 30-min. block of time. If you aren't feeling well, please stay home. Thank you!

Thursday, September 23 at 7 pm: Booked in Britain! We hope that you will join us for this virtual zoom event! Take a trip to England with author and Children's Librarian Paulina Shadowens.  Paulina will share her beautiful photos and memories from a recent trip to England and how a lofe-long love of all things British was the inspiration for her historical novel Edenfleet. Saturday, September 25 from 8am - 1pm: Friends of the Library Book Sale! Head on over to Estabrook’s Garage in Newton, NH on Saturday, September 25th from 8am - 1pm where you can fill a bag of books for $3.00 or fill a bag for free with purchase of a customized Gale Library tote book bag for $15.00!

September is Library Card Sign-Up Month, Grab your BINGO Card today! The most important school supply is a library card! With access to technology, innovative programming, and educational resources, a library card gives students of all ages the tools to succeed in school. September is Library Card Sign-up Month so let's have some fun. Stop by the library to pick up your ALA BINGO card. Complete each challenge, bring it back to us, win a goodie bag!

Tuesday's at 10am: Outdoor Preschool Story Time: Join us in person every Tuesday at 10am for preschool story time! Call us to sign up, park the car, grab a seat outside and enjoy story time! Miss. Hayley will read a collection of stories, sing some songs and we'll even have our themed craft kits to take home. 

Saturday, September 18 at 10am, STEM Saturday Live outside the Library: We’ll be getting creative in this family fun STEM challenge... Boat Building! Curious, intrigued, excited!? Then sign up now to save your spot!

Wednesday’s from October 6 from 4:30 – 5:30pm, Harry Potter Club! Do you love Harry Potter? We do too! Join us in the children's room every Wednesday from Oct 6 as we read aloud the first book 'The Sorcerer’s Stone'. We'll also make some awesome Harry Potter style crafts… Dragon Egg Terrariums, Magic Wands, Floating Candles, and much more. This is a drop off program suitable for ages 8+. Craft Kit Pick Up: Stop by the library and pick up your craft kit. There are two crafts to make at home, coloring pages and a puzzle to challenge you! New kits are put out each Tuesday... while supplies last!

Fall Scavenger Hunt! Can you find all of the items in our new Fall Scavenger Hunt? Stop by the library front door and pick up a scavenger hunt and pencil.
