UPDATE: EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY

Cemetery Trustees: In an effort to protect the public and the Trustees, we are implementing the following temporary procedural change regarding the purchase of a cemetery plot(s).

  • The Trustees are restricting the sale of cemetery plots to an IMMEDIATE NEED basis. The purchase of a plot(s) for possible future needs will be continued once the Coronavirus issue has subsided.
  • Purchase of the plot(s) will be conducted at the cemetery. One Trustee will be in attendance and the family will be limited to two attendees.

Effective immediately:  By recommendation of the Health Officer, the Transfer Station will no longer be accepting paper or cardboard for recycling until further notice.  You may hold onto it or place it in the trash compactor.

Effective immediately:  All Town buildings (Town Hall, Gale Library, Fire and Police Stations), are closed to the public until further notice.  Emergency services such as Police and Fire will not be affected.  More details will be posted at the Town's website.  For questions please send email to the Selectmen's Office or leave a voice mail at 603-382-4405 Option 5. 

The Transfer Station is closed to non-residents.  Residents can bring their household trash during normal business hours.  No bulk items will be accepted until further notice.
