Newton is such a friendly town with many great resources for our families and ourselves.
What if there is a way to:

- Do some fun stuff that interests you and your family?
You can join the Newton Recreation Commission. You can be a part of making the things that matter to you happen in Newton.
What is involved in being a Rec member?
- You can attend and vote at meetings
- The meetings are normally twice a month for an hour and a half, on Monday evenings.
- You can take on events or projects that interest you.
- Rec oversees the Town Beach
- Rec oversees Greenie Park
- Rec plans Senior Trips and events
- Rec plans vacation activities, like roller skating, Canobie, Water Country, SnowTubing
- Rec puts on the Memorial Day Parade
- Rec puts on Town Day- in concert with the Memorial 5K Race
And
- Rec can put on other events!
- How about a softball round robin for adults?
- How about a bicycle poker run for all ages?
- How about a Comedy Night for adults?
- How about a Motorcycle Rally?
