Cakepans, Ukulele, and Blocks

What do cakepans, an ukulele, and colorful stacking blocks have in common? You can borrow all of them from the Gale Library!
Perfect for spring, birthdays, baby showers, or any kind of parties, we have a large collection of cake pans available for patrons. Make your next cake a fun shape without purchasing a pan you’ll only use once! Some of our cakepan shapes include a bunny, mini bunnies (one pan makes 6 small cakes), butterfly, train, rocking horse, dinosaur, and heart. We also have characters like Big Bird, Hello Kitty, Lightning McQueen, and Darth Vader. Instructions sheets are available, too!
Ukulele fun! Borrow our ukulele to try it out before you purchase one, to begin learning to play, or to refresh your skills. We also have a variety of books available for both adults and youth to borrow and learn.
Did you know we have 6 activity kits for young children? One of them includes colorful stacking blocks & books about colors! Other topics include bugs (with toy bugs, a magnifying glass, & magnetic puzzle), music (with toy instruments & a sound puzzle), numbers (with a Stack & Sort Board), barnyard animals, and pizza party play. All kits include a few books or board books.
Upcoming events include making window sill terrariums with recycled materials on Wednesday, April 19th at 6 p.m. This craft is recommended for ages 7 and up. Visit or contact the library to register ahead of time.
Our next Movie Morning is Saturday, April 29th at 10 a.m. This month’s movie adapts a beloved children’s book character. Can you guess which one? He is a lovably mischievous cardigan wearing bunny who enjoys pilfering his sustenance from the yard of a cranky gardener. We will have snacks and crafts, too. Contact the library for more details.
