Trustees of the Trust Fund

Trustees of Trust Funds are the custodians of the town’s perpetual care funds, charitable trusts and capital reserve/expendable trust funds. Trustees of Trust Funds act in a fiduciary capacity and make the decisions regarding the expenditure of these funds based on the wishes of the donor in the case of privately donated funds.  In the case of capital reserve funds and expendable trust funds, funds are released to the appropriate town officials upon request.  As custodians of the trust funds, the trustees also make decisions on how the funds will be invested based on the investment policy adopted by the Trustees. The portfolio and investment policy is reviewed annually and reaffirmed at an annual public meeting. The Trustees are also responsible for submitting required reports to the State of New Hampshire annually.
