Here at the Gale Library, we’re gearing up for summer – summer reading that it is! This summer we’d like to present “Oceans of Possibilities”: 4 weeks of exciting ocean themed programming! Starting the week of June 13th and running through July 9th, this all-ages program encourages patrons to sign up and read as many books as they can to enter to win fun prizes! Registration for this program begins May 24th.

In addition to our summer reading challenge, for the kids we’ll continue outdoor Storytime on Tuesdays at 10 am, hosting 4 weeks of Wednesday evening crafts such as design your own beach bag, make a decoupage shell dish and create your own sea gem pendent, culminating on Wednesday, July 6th with a visit from the Sea Coast Science Center and some of their LIVE ocean creatures! And surprise activity Saturdays that will be hands on activities intended to be done outside in our parking lot. All of the children’s programs have a limited number of spaces available, please sign up ahead of time to ensure your participation.
