Gale Library - A Zoom Celebration of Animation Presentation this Thursday, December 10 at 6:30 p.m.

The Gale Library welcomes Marty Gitlin, author of A Celebration of Animation: The 100 Greatest Cartoon Characters in Television History.  This virtual presentation is geared for a wide range of ages.

Marty is the only author to have actually ranked the greatest cartoon characters of all time. Tom Kenny, the voice of SpongeBob SquarePants, wrote the foreword to the book. The program features many cartoon snippets, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Snoopy, Scooby Doo and SpongeBob, as well as the first talkie ever released in 1928 (it's NOT Steamboat Willie!).

The Celebration of Animation Presentation is very engaging. It includes a lot of trivia question and cartoon voices that participants can try to identify, as well as wonderful information that Marty imparts about these legendary characters along the way.
