Earth Day in Newton

Choose your Earth Day Participation

Newton will clean up in locations around Town on Earth Day, April 22, 2023. Want to help make our Town more beautiful? You can choose your contribution.

Help to get our lovely Town Beach, on Wenmark Road, ready for the summer. On April 22, join residents to pick up branches, trash and debris on the beach area. Wear gloves and bring a rake if you have one. Members of the Recreation Commission will be there from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. to pitch in and organize the group.

The Conservation Commission is planning Invest in Your Planet on April 22. They are encouraging residents to pick up trash along any roadside or park of your choosing. You can pick up trash bags at the Newton Town Hall or the Transfer Station. Filled trash bags can be returned to the Transfer Station on April 22, and you can receive a small gift bag as long as supplies last. Please do not leave trash bags on the side of the roads.

Country Pond Lake Association will start the Earth Day cleanup around Country Pond on April 22 at 9:00 a.m. when you can join the group for coffee at the Newton Boat Ramp. If you can't make it to the Boat Ramp, please send an email (countrypondla@gmail.com) to to let them know which area you will be covering. You can bring filled trash bags back to the Boat Ramp for disposal.

Let's show our pride in Newton and make our Town beautiful!
