Summer Senior Trip

The popular Senior Summer Trip for Newton residents will return in August. This year's trip will be to the Ogunquit Playhouse to see the Da Vinci Code. The New York Times calls the play " an exhilarating, breathless thriller-chase that will keep you in suspense." The trip includes lunch at York River Landing overlooking the historic  York River where you will have your choice of buttermilk chicken, baked haddock or farmers veggie plate.

Registration is in person on August 2, 2023, at the Newton Town Hall, 2 Town Hall Road, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. If there are remaining tickets, they will be sold from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The price per person is $75 (actual cost of the tickets is $150 but the Recreation Commission will pay for half). Payment can be made in person by check or with cash.

The date of the trip is August 24. Busses will pick up participants at 10:00 a.m. at the Just Church property in Newton Junction and at Sargent Woods at 10:15 a.m. Busses will return at approximately 5:45 p.m.
